Your guide on this journey is Phyllis Staats, an experienced meditation and mindfulness teacher whose wisdom is deeply rooted in Buddhist philosophy and her own life experience. Years ago, Phyllis faced a period of profound darkness and struggle. In search of relief and clarity, she discovered meditation and mindfulness. Through consistent practice, she found a path out of despair, cultivating calm, presence, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Phyllis’s teaching is grounded in this personal journey.


She understands firsthand the transformative power of meditation to help navigate life’s challenges, restore inner balance, and uncover the peace that has always been within. Her approach is compassionate, supportive, and practical, offering tools that are accessible to beginners while deep enough for those who wish to deepen their practice.


In guiding participants through 10 Days to Calm, Phyllis draws on her experience to create a safe, nurturing space for exploration and growth. She helps students reconnect with their own inner stillness, develop resilience, and discover that calm is not something to chase but something to remember and cultivate from within.


With Phyllis as your instructor, you will be supported and encouraged every step of the way, gaining practices that extend far beyond these ten days and into your daily life.
